Rizzo has 10 goals and 34 assists in 29 games played this season, having missed a significant amount of playing time due to a lower body injury sustained on Feb. 3.
The junior center won the 2022 NCAA Championship with the Pioneers, where he was teammates with current Flyers winger Bobby Brink.
Top-ranked Boston College, where controversial former Flyers prospect Cutter Gauthier currently plays, advanced to the championship game after a dominant 4-0 over the University of Michigan, while No. 3 Denver secured a 2-1 overtime win against Boston University.
The final will be held in St. Paul, MN on Apr. 13 at 6 p.m. EST.
