This Flyers defenseman has been sent back to the AHL.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that defenseman Emil Andrae has been assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Andrae, 22, has been a nice surprise for the Flyers this season. In 20 games, the 2020 second-round pick has one goal, five points, 22 hits, 28 blocks, and a plus-3 rating. However, he will now return to the AHL to continue working on his development.
