This Flyers prospect scored an incredible goal at the World Junior Championship.

As Denver Barkey heads back to the London Knights after spending the last couple of months watching the Philadelphia Flyers' training camp from the sidelines, he reflects on his recovery from illness and coming back a stronger player than before.

Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jett Luchanko is currently representing Canada at the World Junior Championship. The 2024 first-round pick is one of the top players to watch during the tournament, and he showed why against Team Latvia yesterday (Dec. 27).

While on the penalty kill, Luchanko broke up a pass in the neutral zone, which led to a breakaway. From there, the young forward slowed down, dangled, and beat Team Latvia goalie Linards Feldbergs with a sweet backhander.

Luchanko, 18, is known for his offensive skill, and he undoubtedly displayed it against Latvia with this goal.

However, unfortunately for Luchanko and Canada, they lost to Latvia in the shootout by a 3-2 final score.
