The Flyers travel to Edmonton in search for their fourth win in five games to close out their latest road trip.

The Philadelphia Flyers will conclude their challenging but largely successful five-game road trip against an equally hot Edmonton Oilers team, looking to bring the record for this away stretch to 4-1 before heading back to Philadelphia.

The Flyers are coming off a frustrating 4-3 loss to the Calgary Flames on Dec. 31, while the Oilers are enjoying a five-game win streak, their most recent one being a 7-2 thrashing of the Anaheim Ducks.

The last time these two teams met back in October ended in a 4-1 Flyers victory, but the Oilers have certainly got their wits about them in the subsequent months, and will no doubt be looking to capitalize on their recent hot streak, which has included some high-scoring wins, including 5-goal triumphs over the Ducks and the San Jose Sharks.

The Flyers will be looking to regroup after their loss to the Flames, where a late comeback attempt falling short was just the final blow over three periods of lackadaisical playing from the orange and black.

It looks as though head coach John Tortorella has taken action to combat the stagnant offensive energy of his usual first line of Owen Tippet, Sean Couturier, and Travis Konecny, replacing Tippett with Joel Farabee at Tuesday morning practice. The defensive pairings remain the same, while Carter Hart will get the start in net in his hometown of Edmonton.
