On. Jan 30, the Philadelphia Flyers acquired forward Andrei Kuzmenko as a part of the trade that sent forwards Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee to the Calgary Flames. Since then, the pending unrestricted free agent has been off to a nice start in Philly.

In his debut with the Flyers on Feb. 8 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Kuzmenko recorded an assist on Scott Laughton's first-period goal. Now, with the Flyers returning from the 4 Nations Face-Off break, Kuzmenko had a solid second game with the team against the Oilers on Feb. 22.

While on the power play, Kuzmenko beautifully tipped a Travis Konecny shot past Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner. This goal was important for the Flyers, as it extended their lead to 5-3.

Seeing Kuzmenko making an offensive impact immediately is encouraging for the Flyers. It will be fascinating to see how he builds off this, but he is leaving a good first impression with his new team.
