

Philadelphia Flyers winger Matvei Michkov has been named the NHL’s Rookie of the Month for the month of February. He led all rookies in goals (5) and points (10).
Across his 58 games played, the 20-year-old also currently leads all rookies in goals (19) and points (44) on the season after a three-point game (2G, 1A) against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Feb. 27.
He also leads all rookies in overtime goals (3), powerplay goals (7), and multi-point games (14). The young Russian is the first rookie this season to receive Rookie of the Month twice, having won it back in October. He is also the first Flyers rookie to achieve this in the past 30 years.
