The Flyers will evidently be playing a game in the elements next season.

Get your winter jackets and earmuffs ready, because the Flyers are apparently playing in an outdoor game next season.
According to a report from David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the NHL is preparing to host a pair of Stadium Series games next February in back-to-back days at MetLife Stadium, and one of them will include a matchup between the Flyers and New Jersey Devils.
Per Pagnotta's report, the second game of the series will feature a tilt between the New York Rangers and New York Islanders.
This will mark the first time the Flyers have played in an outdoor game since the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season, when they took on the Boston Bruins at Lake Tahoe.
Overall, the Flyers have appeared in five total outdoor games, which ties for second-most of all NHL teams. Unfortunately, they haven't had much success playing in the fresh air. They've only won one of their five outdoor games — their overtime thriller against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Lincoln Financial Field in 2019.
The Devils, meanwhile, have appeared in just one outdoor game. In 2014, they took on the Rangers at Yankee Stadium, but fell by a score of 7-3.
While the Rangers and Islanders duke it out in the Battle of New York, the Flyers will look to earn bragging rights over the Devils as fans from South Jersey and North Jersey converge in East Rutherford.
