Morgan Frost scored a goal that's going to live on highlight reels for a long time.
The Philadelphia Flyers nine game point streak has come to an end. Last night they lost to the Nashville Predators 4-2 in regulation.
They came up short in their forechecking last night. The lack of getting pucks behind their defenders in deep cost them the game.
One of the bright spots of the game, was Morgan Frost's goal 1:31 into the game. The early lead was a great way to start the game. The goal itself was something you don't see every day.
Bobby Brink whacks the puck around the boards to the back of the net. While under pressure from a Predators defender Frost gets a skate on the puck. It sails over the net, hits the back of Juuse Saros and falls into the net.
Here's another angle of the replay:
What an incredibly fortuitous bounce for Frost and the Flyers here. Very likely that we don't see another goal like that again for a long time.
Frost finished the night with the one goal on two shots in 15 minutes of ice time. He has nine points on the season (four goals & five assists) with 39 shots, 20 blocks and nine hits in 22 games. He's averaged 15:20 of ice time per game.
The Flyers are back in action tonight against the Detroit Red Wings.
