Hockey writers come from a lot of different places. Many come from Canada. Others from New York, Boston, or Minnesota — places oozing with hockey fandom.
And then there's me.
Richmond, Virginia isn't exactly known as a hockey hotbed. In fact, most people in Virginia could care less about it. Football, basketball, and baseball are king, and hockey is very much secondary.
But against all odds, this wild, wacky, incalculable sport sunk its teeth into me as a young adult. And ever since, I've been infected with nothing but love for the strangest, most invigorating sport in the world.
