Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang are set to enter their North American sports’ record 18th season together; those three will also serve as the obvious captain and alternate captains.
The Penguins will enter the season with 12 forwards, eight defenders, and a pair of goalies; among the forwards is the injured Jake Guentzel.
After missing most of camp on the injured list, Guentzel was recently listed as a game-time decision for opening night.
