Which teams could look to sign Stuart Skinner this summer?

With less than a week away from the start of free agency, Pittsburgh Penguins pending UFA goalie Stuart Skinner still does not have a contract. With this, there is a real chance that he will be hitting the market on July 1.

If Skinner does test free agency, these three teams could look to sign him next week.

Ottawa Senators

The Senators have been connected to Skinner this off-season and need an upgrade at their backup goalie spot. With this, they would be a team to keep an eye on if Skinner tests free agency. He could form a solid tandem with Linus Ullmark if brought in.

Florida Panthers

If the Panthers are unable to re-sign Sergei Bobrovsky and/or Daniil Tarasov, it would make sense if they made a push for Skinner this off-season. Skinner is one of the top goalies who can hit the market on July 1 and could be a good pickup for Florida if they miss out on the top goalie trade targets.

Utah Mammoth

The Mammoth could be another club that targets Skinner next week. Vitek Vanecek is a pending UFA, and Skinner would be an upgrade over him. If the Mammoth signed Skinner, he could work nicely as their 1B.
