If anyone had any doubts about Captain Canada's ability to take over a game, he proved them wrong Saturday.

Pittsburgh Penguins legend Sidney Crosby - captaining Team Canada at the IIHF Men's World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden - put up four points in Canada's 7-0 win over Slovakia on Saturday.

The win gives Canada a perfect 5-0 record in pre-round play at the tournament, and it gives Crosby five goals and nine points in those five games, which puts him in a tie for second in tournament scoring.

Crosby registered his first point on the evening on the first goal of the game, which was a late-period tally by defenseman Brandon Montour. Just a minute later, Tyson Foerster potted one to put the Canadians ahead, 2-0.

Then, early in the second period, Crosby put home a nice feed from Macklin Celebrini after some offensive zone pressure to give Canada their third goal. Crosby returned the favor later in the period when he fed Celebrini for a goal of his own, and less than a minute later, Nathan MacKinnon got on the board to give Canada the 5-0 lead.

Crosby notched his second goal of the game just under seven minutes into the final frame, and MacKinnon added his second to give him his tournament-leading 10th point and seal the 7-0 victory for Canada.

With his two goals and four points on the evening, Crosby was named Player of the Game.

Next up for Canada will be their first big test of the tournament when they take on Finland Tuesday at 2:20 p.m. EDT. Finland is 4-1, and their only loss came at the hands of Sweden - the only other undefeated team - on May 12.
