This former Penguins goalie is struggling in a major way with his new team.

Earlier this season, the Pittsburgh Penguins traded goaltender Tristan Jarry to the Edmonton Oilers in a multi-player trade. This was after the 30-year-old goaltender was the subject of trade rumors for several months.

At the time of the trade, Jarry was playing very well for the Penguins. In 14 games with the Metropolitan Division club before the trade, he had a 9-3-1 record, a .909 save percentage, a 2.66 goals-against average, and one shutout. Yet, the Penguins still decided to move on from him.

The Oilers' decision to acquire Jarry was not hard to understand, as they needed an upgrade between the pipes in a major way. Unfortunately for Edmonton, Jarry has not given them the goalie help that they desperately need.

Jarry has been struggling immensely since being acquired by the Oilers, and the truth is in his stats. In 15 games with Edmonton since the move, he has a .855 save percentage and a 4.17 goals-against average. He also allowed seven goals on 27 shots in his most recent appearance against the Dallas Stars on March 12, which equates to a .741 save percentage.

Due to his struggles, Jarry has also lost the Oilers' starting goalie job to Connor Ingram.

While Jarry has had a nightmare start to his Oilers tenure, he still has time to try to end the season on a strong note. However, as it stands right now, there is no question that the former Penguin is struggling big time.
