Former Pittsburgh Penguins coach Todd Reirden has landed a new job, as he has been hired as an assistant coach by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Before landing this new gig with the Flyers, Reirden had been assistant and associate coach for the Penguins from the 2020-21 to 2023-24 seasons. The 53-year-old also previously served as an assistant coach with the Penguins from 2010-11 to 2013-14.

In between his two stints as an assistant coach with the Penguins, Reirden spent six seasons on the Washington Capitals coaching staff from 2014-15 to 2019-20. This included being the Capitals' head coach for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Now, Reirden will look to make a positive impact behind the bench as an assistant coach for the Flyers as they look to take a step forward in their rebuild.
