A former Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman is on the move.

This is because the Washington Capitals have claimed defenseman Jack St. Ivany off of waivers from the Winnipeg Jets. With this news, the former Penguins defenseman is now a member of one of Pittsburgh's biggest division rivals.

St. Ivany played in four games this season with the Jets before being claimed off waivers by the Capitals. During them, he recorded zero points, five blocks, six hits, and a minus-1 rating.

St. Ivany will provide the Capitals with more defensive depth with this waiver claim. The 27-year-old will now be looking to impress with the Capitals from here.
