Following signing a professional tryout contract with the Boston Bruins, former Penguins forward Danton Heinen has penned a full new contract.
The Bruins have signed Heinen to a one-year deal worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
During the 2022-23 season with the Penguins, Heinen appeared in 65 games and scored eight goals and 14 assists for 22 total points.
Heinen was a member of the Penguins during the 2021-22 season, as well, when he posted 33 points (18G-15A) in 76 games played.
Prior to joining the Penguins, Heinen played the first 220 games of his NHL career with the Bruins.
In those 220 games, he racked up 34 goals and 69 assists for 103 total points.
Heinen signed a PTO with the Bruins prior to the start of the 2023 preseason but never a full contract.
The Bruins have played eight games of their 2023-24 schedule and hold a 7-0-1 record.
