This former Penguins forward's season is over.

While speaking to reporters, including NHL.com's Jameson Olive, Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice shared that former Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evan Rodrigues will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season due to a broken finger.

Rodrigues last played on March 26 against the Minnesota Wild, where he was limited to one shift and 49 seconds of ice time. Now, with this update from Maurice, the former Penguins forward's campaign is over.

Rodrigues appeared in 69 games this season with the Panthers, where he had 11 goals, 20 assists, and 31 points. This is after he had 15 goals and 32 points in 82 games last season with Florida. He also had two goals and 15 points in 21 games during their Stanley Cup championship run this past spring.

Rodrigues spent three seasons with the Penguins from 2019-10 to 2021-22. In 124 games with the Metropolitan Division club over that span, he recorded 27 goals, 31 assists, 58 points, and 114 hits. This included him setting career highs with 19 goals and 43 points in 82 games for the Penguins during the 2021-22 campaign.
