The Pittsburgh Penguins have had an eventful off-season, as they added multiple new players to their roster.
Among the Penguins' new players is forward Nick Robertson. The Penguins acquired the skilled forward from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for a 2028 fourth-round pick back in July.
At just 24 years old, Robertson is an interesting player that the Penguins have added to their roster. The young forward was once considered one of the Maple Leafs' top prospects but struggled to break out and become a true top-six forward in Toronto. While this was the case, the possibility of him changing that with the Penguins should not be ruled out.
Robertson was in need of a change of scenery for a long time while he was with the Maple Leafs. Now, he has gotten that with the Penguins, and it will be interesting to see if the fresh start benefits him.
Robertson is also coming off a solid season offensively, as he posted new career highs with 16 goals, 16 assists, and 32 points in 78 games with Toronto. If he can hit the 20-goal and 40-point marks for the Penguins this year, he would be a very solid pickup for a Penguins club that is looking to take another step forward this season.
