Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby continued to build his NHL legacy Saturday with yet another notch in the record books.

Even if he's had a bit of a slow start to the season, Pittsburgh Penguins' captain Sidney Crosby is still climbing the ranks of NHL history.

And he has just broken another NHL record.

With an assist on an Erik Karlsson power play goal during the first period of Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, Crosby broke the NHL record for most assists with a single franchise at 1,112. He passed Ray Bourque with the assist.

Later in the game, he also added another helper in the form of a secondary assist on a goal by linemate Tommy Novak.
