The Pittsburgh Penguins announced their opening-night roster for the 2026-27 season on Monday.
They will carry 22 players on the roster: 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders. Here's the full roster:

In addition, Justin Brazeau, Ben Kindel, Blake Lizotte, and Bryan Rust have been placed on injured reserve. Defenseman Ryan Graves is also on injured reserve and will be out indefinitely.
Forwards Tristan Broz, Melvin Fernstrom, and Oliver Okuliar, along with goaltender Gabriel D'Aigle, have been designated as injured non-roster.
Forward Andrei Kuzmenko has been designated as non-roster.
The Penguins will open the 2026-27 NHL season on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck drop from Philadelphia will be at 7 p.m. ET on TNT and truTV.
The Penguins' home opener will be against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday.
