The Pittsburgh Penguins will be down another forward for a little bit.

Another Pittsburgh Penguins player is set to miss some time with an injury.

The Penguins announced on Tuesday that forward Ville Koivunen will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury. Koivunen didn't play on Sunday in Sweden against the Nashville Predators

Forward Sam Poulin was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to replace Koivunen after he was placed on injured reserve.

Koivunen has had a bit of a slow start to the season production-wise, compiling only two assists in 11 games. He has come close to notching his first NHL goal, but has been snakebitten. He had been playing a lot better these last few games before suffering an injury.

Poulin has been good to start the year in WBS, racking up seven goals and 15 points in 16 games. His 15 points leads the team.

The Penguins are off until Friday, when they'll take on the Minnesota Wild at home. They'll play again on Saturday at home against the Seattle Kraken
