Could this Penguins forward have a breakout year for the Metropolitan Division club?

With this, regular-season hockey is just about here for the Penguins. The Penguins have some breakout candidates to watch during the season, and new forward Nick Robertson is one of them.
Robertson needed a fresh start for a long time during his time with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and he has now gotten it with the Penguins. Now, with Robertson getting a change of scenery, it is certainly fair to wonder if he can take his game to a new level with Pittsburgh.
Robertson also showed signs of improvement last season with Toronto. In 78 games with the Original Six club, he set career highs with 16 goals, 16 assists, and 32 points. Now, as he begins his Penguins tenure, he will be looking to hit at least the 20-goal and 40-point marks. He has the potential to do so.
Nevertheless, it is going to be very interesting to see what kind of season Robertson can put together for Pittsburgh in 2026-27. If he takes that next step, he could end up being a strong addition to the Penguins' roster.
