This Penguins' new forward should be watched closely this season.

The Pittsburgh Penguins brought in a handful of new players this off-season. Among their newcomers is forward Nick Robertson, as they acquired him from the Toronto Maple Leafs earlier this summer.

Robertson had been in need of a change of scenery for a while, and he has now gotten it with the Penguins. Now, he will be looking to make an impact with Pittsburgh from here.

When noting that Robertson is only 24 years old and has shown promise, the possibility of him breaking out with the Penguins this season should not be ruled out. Sometimes a player can hit a new level after getting a fresh start, and it would not be particularly surprising if that happened with Robertson.

Robertson is also coming off a solid season with the Maple Leafs. In 78 games with Toronto this past season, he posted new career highs with 16 goals, 16 assists, and 32 points. With that, he showed that he can provide decent secondary offensive production at the NHL level.

However, it would be great if Robertson could hit the 20-goal and 45-point marks for the Penguins next season. The possibility should not be ruled out, and it will be interesting to see what kind of campaign he can put together.
