On a second draft day heavily focused on the back end, the Pittsburgh Penguins have begun to add a few forwards toward the end of their 2025 draft class.

With the 169th overall pick, the Penguins selected left wing Carter Sanderson out of the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.

The 6-foot-1, 196-pound forward is committed to the University of North Dakota next season. For the Lumberjacks last season, he registered five goals, 11 points, and 62 penalty minutes in 48 games. He is known, first and foremost, for his physicality, and he isn't afraid to punish opponents when battling for possession and trying to swing momentum.

The Penguins - as of now - have one more selection at 201st overall in this year's draft.
