With Day Two of the NHL Draft winding down, the Pittsburgh Penguins made three selections in the fifth round.

With the 130th, 148th, and 154th overall picks, the Penguins selected center Ryan Miller, defenseman Quinn Beauchesne, and right wing Jordan Charron, respectively.

Miller - at 6-feet, 176 pounds - was projected as high as no. 60 by NHL Central Scouting. Committed to the University of Denver next season, Miller spent parts of the last three seasons with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL, accruing 22 goals and 46 points in 97 games. He is best-known for his work along the walls and his ability to create havoc at the net-front.

A native of Ottawa, Beauchesne is a dynamic skater from the blue line, with his mobility being the hallmark of his game. He wore the "A" for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship this season, where he registered a goal and four points in seven games. He is able to join the rush and get pucks to the net, as he put up a respectable six goals and 24 points in 49 games with the Winterhawks this season.

Finally, Charron - the second Soo Greyhound selected by Penguins GM and POHO Kyle Dubas in this draft, as Travis Hayes was selected in the fourth round - is a defense-first forward who has a knack for breaking up plays, getting in shooting lanes, and using his speed to close on opponents. He has some offensive flair to his game, as he recorded 10 goals and 21 points in 48 games for the Greyhounds in 2025-26.

The Penguins, as of now, have two more picks in the 2025 draft - one in the sixth and one in the seventh round.
