The Pittsburgh Penguins should be looking to improve their forward group this off-season. When looking at their roster, it is apparent that they have clear holes in their lineup that they must address if they hope to put together a better season in 2025-26.

Due to this, one player who the Penguins should seriously consider taking a run at is New York Rangers forward Will Cuylle. 

Cuylle is undoubtedly a player to watch very closely this summer, as he is a pending restricted free agent. With Cuylle being just 23 years old and breaking out this season, he is precisely the kind of player the Penguins should make a push for this summer, whether through trade or an attempted offer sheet.

Cuylle would be a major addition to the Penguins' forward group if brought in, as he is a big winger who not only produces offensively but also plays a very heavy game. Thus, the 6-foot-3 forward would undoubtedly make the Penguins a tougher team to go up against in more ways than one.

In 82 games this season with the Rangers, Cuylle set new career highs with 20 goals, 25 assists, 45 points, and 301 hits. With numbers like these, he would give the Penguins' top nine and power play a nice boost. Furthermore, with the 2020 second-round pick still being in his early 20s, there is reason to believe that he can still hit another level with his play.

Nevertheless, with Cuylle being such an interesting player, he is a player who could be worth targeting for the Penguins.
