Team USA has announced their 2026 Olympic orientation camp roster, and one Pittsburgh Penguins star has made the cut - forward Bryan Rust.

Seeing Rust get invited to Team USA's Olympic orientation camp is not particularly surprising, as the Penguins winger is coming off an excellent 2024-25 season. In 71 games this past season for the Metropolitan Division club, he recorded new career highs with 31 goals, 34 assists, and 65 points. This was after the 11-year NHL veteran recorded 28 goals and 56 points in 62 games with the Penguins during the 2023-24 season.

Given how impactful of a player Rust has been, especially over the last handful of seasons, it is understandable that he is getting a chance to try to earn a spot on Team USA's Olympic roster. He will certainly need to impress during it, however, as plenty of other star players will be joining Rust as Team USA's orientation camp.

In 638 career NHL games, all with the Penguins, Rust has recorded 203 goals, 234 assists, 437 points, 783 hits, and a plus-38 rating.
