The Pittsburgh Penguins could lose Alex Nedeljkovic for some time.
Following his second game in a Pittsburgh Penguins uniform, goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic’s status has become unclear.
Nedeljkovic attempted to skate during the Penguins practice after the loss to the Dallas Stars, but quickly left the ice and did not return.
After the skate, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that Nedeljkovic is dealing with a lower-body injury and is being evaluated.
Sullivan said that the injury occurred during the game but it continued to bother the goalie during practice.
It’s not clear if Nedeljkovic will be able to dress for the Penguins upcoming contest against the Colorado Avalanche.
Tristan Jarry was likely scheduled to start the game against the Avalanche, but there is now some uncertainty regarding who will play backup.
Nedeljkovic played the full 60 minutes against the Stars and allowed four goals on 34 total shots.
