The Penguins have announced that they have recalled forwards Avery Hayes and Joona Koppanen from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Hayes has appeared in 11 games this season with Pittsburgh, where he has two goals, 12 penalty minutes, and 13 hits. Down in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this campaign with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has posted 20 goals, 12 assists, 32 points, and a plus-5 rating in 37 games.
Koppanen, on the other hand, has one assist, nine hits, and a minus-2 rating in 10 games this season with Pittsburgh. In 37 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, the 6-foot-5 forward has seven goals, 12 assists, 19 points, and a plus-4 rating.
