PITTSBURGH – After back-to-back years with a first-round draft pick, the Pittsburgh Penguins will enter the 2024 NHL Draft without a first-round selection. The Carolina Hurricanes' failure to reach the Stanley Cup Final completes a trade condition from the Jake Guentzel deal.
Barring a trade, the Penguins will not have a first-round pick but multiple selections in the second round. Below is the entire list of current selections to be made by the Penguins at the 2024 Draft.

The Penguins’ 2024 first-round pick was sent to the San Jose Sharks as part of the Erik Karlsson trade.
44th and 46th overall
The 44th overall pick comes from Carolina via the Philadelphia Flyers in the Guentzel trade.
The 46th selection is the Penguins' own draft slot.

The Penguins’ 2024 third-round pick was traded to the Anaheim Ducks along with Brock McGinn in exchange for Dmitry Kulikov.
111th overall
This is the Penguins’ own selection for the fourth round.

The Penguins’ 2024 fifth-round pick ended up with the Sharks as part of a three-team deal at the 2023 trade deadline. The Sharks took the Penguins’ seventh-round pick in 2023, and this pick while the Penguins landed Nick Bonino.
The Montreal Canadiens retained part of Bonino’s contract as well as a prospect and a draft pick from the Sharks.
175th overall
This is the Penguins’ own selection in the sixth round.
207th and 225th overall
Pick 207 is the Penguins’ own seventh-round pick, while 225 comes from the New York Rangers. The Penguins and Rangers swapped third-round picks at the 2023 Draft. In addition to their 2023 third, the Rangers also sent the Penguins their 2024 seventh-round selection.
