The Pittsburgh Penguins will have their full supply of defensemen against the Vegas Golden Knights.
PITTSBURGH – After missing practice due to an illness, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have defenseman Erik Karlsson dressed and ready to go against the Vegas Golden Knights. Karlsson was present for the optional morning skate in Vegas.
Following the morning skate in Vegas, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that Karlsson is all good and will be in the Penguins lineup. Karlsson was the only expected player absent from the team practice in Vegas. Even Reilly Smith and John Ludvig skated in a non-contact capacity.
Karlsson has played in all 42 games to this point with seven goals and 24 assists for 31 total points. Regularly suiting up on the second defensive pairing, Karlsson leads all Penguins defensemen in scoring.
In 20 career games against the Golden Knights, Karlsson has a goal and nine assists for 10 points.
