PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins are just barely into their offseason and have already started gearing towards the future. The Penguins have announced that they have signed forward prospect Tristan Broz to a three-year entry level contract.

Fresh off of an NCAA National Championship with the University of Denver, Broz is finally taking steps towards joining the Penguins organization. The Penguins drafted Broz in the second round in 2021.

Broz will join the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins for the remainder of the season on an amateur tryout offer to get his feet wet in professional hockey.

In 43 games in the 2023-24 season with Denver, Broz scored 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points. Broz showed up in crucial situations during the Frozen Four Tournament.

Twice during their championship run, Broz scored an overtime goal to advance Denver in the tournament. Broz’s second overtime winner help clinch a berth in the NCAA National Championship game.
