Two Pittsburgh Penguins forwards got injured during training camp.

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced injury news on Monday for two forwards.

Blake Lizotte, one of their best players in the bottom six over the last two seasons, is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

He suffered the injury during training camp, and his status for the regular-season opener against the Philadelphia Flyers is uncertain. If he can't play, another forward spot opens up, at least for the start of the season.

Oliver Okuliar is week-to-week with a lower-body injury that he suffered during camp.

Lizotte was doing a lot of drills with Rutger McGroarty during training camp, but will now be on the mend after suffering an injury. Lizotte played in 55 games last year, scoring seven goals and totaling 19 points.

He's a big presence on the penalty kill and one of the reasons why it finished sixth in the NHL last season.

Okuliar played in the SHL last season, scoring 15 goals and totaling 29 points in 46 games. The Penguins acquired him in a trade with the Florida Panthers in June, in exchange for defenseman Emil Pieniniemi.
