Team Canada remains undefeated at the IIHF Men's World Championship after a 5-0 victory over Team France on Tuesday afternoon.

Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby registered a vintage goal to give him four points in the tournament so far, and the Canadians are now 3-0 heading into their matchup against Austria on Thursday.

St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington earned the win in a 15-save shutout effort.

The scoring kicked off a little more than five minutes into the first period, when New York Islanders forward Bo Horvat - who leads Team Canada in tournament goals with four and is tied for the team lead in points with five - made a slick move around under French defender Enzo Guebey's stick and to his backhand to beat French goaltender Julian Junca to give Team Canada a 1-0 lead.

A few minutes later, Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kent Johnson fed the puck to New York Rangers young forward Will Cuylle on a two-on-one, and he put it home to give him his first tournament goal.

The score remained 2-0 until late in the second period, when Crosby struck. He took a feed from Seattle Kraken defenseman Brandon Montour along the wall, spun off French defenseman Hugo Gallet, and walked his way from the right circle toward the goal, deking out Junca and roofing one short-side to put Canada up, 3-0.

Horvat added his second tally of the game a few minutes into the third period, and Montour tacked on a goal of his own midway through the final frame to send Canada home with the 5-0 victory.

Canada and Sweden remain the only teams undefeated at the tournament, and Canada leads all teams in goals for (15) and goals against (1). They lead in nearly every discernable scoring efficiency metric as well, showcasing the high level of talent suiting up for Canada this year.

After their matchup against Austria at 2:20 PM EDT on Thursday, Crosby and Team Canada will go head-to-head with Slovakia on Saturday at 2:20 PM EDT before taking on Finland at the same time on Monday.
