Former Penguins Forward Teddy Blueger Spends Day with the Stanley Cup

The former Pittsburgh Penguins fan favorite brought the Stanley Cup to his native country of Latvia.

An unexpected new face may make a huge difference for the Pittsburgh Penguins in Jake Guentzel's absence.

The Pittsburgh Penguins may have missed out on the 2023 NHL Postseason, but at least a former fan favorite got to enjoy a day of celebration.

Former Penguins’ forward Teddy Blueger was a member of the Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights and he recently spent his day with the Cup.

Blueger brought the Cup to his native country of Latvia; according to the keeper of the Cup Philip Pritchard, the trip to Riga, Latvia is the first stop of it’s European trip.

Blueger celebrated by doing what many have done before and that’s eating a good home cooked meal out of the silver bowl.

Following the meal, Blueger’s mother was kind enough to clean up after his son.

A final moment of Blueger’s celebration day was taking a stroll through the streets with the Cup raised high over his head.

Since winning the Cup with the Golden Knights, Blueger signed a one-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
