Penguins Announce Roster for Preseason Contest Against Red Wings
The stars will sit out again for the Pittsburgh Penguins in their next preseason contest against the Detroit Red Wings.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are preparing to drop the puck on their third preseason game of the year and it will once again not feature many regular NHL players.
Following an opening round of cuts to the Penguins training camp roster, the lineup for the next preseason game against the Detroit Red Wings will still mostly consist of players fighting for roles throughout the organization.
Colin White and Libor Hajek will both play in Detroit and are players currently on a professional tryout offer and looking for a full contract.
Prospects like Brayden Yager, Joel Blomqvist, and Sam Poulin will suit up again for their second contest of the preseason.
Radim Zohorna was a noticeable presence in the preseason opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets and he will have his number called again against the Red Wings.
Alex Nedeljkovic will likely get the nod as starting goalie over Blomqvist, but they could split time like they did previously.
