Penguins Release Training Camp Roster and Schedule

The 2023 Pittsburgh Penguins training camp will feature 58 players looking to crack the NHL lineup.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will get a lot out of Erik Karlsson, but will it be a season of setbacks?

The annual Prospect Challenge is in the rearview and training camps are next on the docket, and for the Pittsburgh Penguins, it will be a sizable camp.

The Penguins officially announced the schedule of events for their upcoming camp, as well as the roster of invites.

Among those invited are 58 players split between 33 forwards, 18 defensemen, and seven goaltenders.

The players span from veterans, to minor leaguers, to guys who will be in Pittsburgh on a professional tryout basis.

A full schedule of events via the Penguins for training camp and preseason are as follows:

A full list of invites can be found on the Penguins website; notable invitees include prospects Sam Poulin, Brayden Yager, Valtteri Puustinen, and Joel Blomqvists; Owen Pickering is invited but listed as injured.

Professional tryouts Austin Wagner, Libor Hajek, Mark Pysyk, and Colin White all have a real chance at making the NHL lineup.

Jake Guentzel is also listed as injured.
