A spot in the playoffs isn't yet guaranteed, but Sidney Crosby won't let the Pittsburgh Penguins miss out.

PITTSBURGH - The 2022-23 season hasn’t been nice to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and with 10 games remaining, their spot in the playoffs is yet to be set.

Currently holding the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, the Penguins are one hiccup away from not playing extra hockey in April.

There is, however, one player than you can never bet against; even at the age of 35, Sidney Crosby has his sights set squarely on the Stanley Cup.

Even if he has to carry the team kicking and screaming, Crosby will not let the Penguins miss the postseason.

No matter how bad the bottom-six has been, or the injured defense, or even the inconsistent goaltending, Crosby will do whatever it takes to win.

Crosby has already shown that is one of the top players in the NHL through the first 72 games of the season.

He and Evgeni Malkin are yet to miss a game, and that’s been extremely important to the Penguins success this year.

Through the 2022-23 season, Crosby has once again broken a point-per-game pace with 31 goals and 54 assists for 85 points.

Crosby has upped the tempo as the playoff race has picked up, as well, with 12 points (4G-8A) in his last 10 games.

Everyone knows about Crosby’s undying desire to win, despite the level of the team around him, that fire still burns in 2023.

Things still aren’t certain, but as long as Crosby is in the lineup, it’ll be hard to count the Penguins out.
