The World Junior Summer Showcase is underway in Minneapolis, Minn. And, today, Team Canada and Team Finland will square off.

And one Pittsburgh Penguins' prospect is out of the lineup.

2025 11th overall pick Ben Kindel will be a scratch for Team Canada against Finland, as Canada is primarily icing returnees from last year's Summer Showcase. Penguins' defensive prospect Harrison Brunicke is projected to be in the lineup against Finland.

Kindel registered 35 goals and 99 points with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL last season.
