San Jose Sharks forward Fabian Zetterlund said he works with the team's goalie coach to help score goals.

Fabian Zetterlund is tied for the team lead with six goals on the San Jose Sharks.
Zetterlund's ability to shoot in stride complements his skating ability perfectly. More is needed to score a goal in the NHL than just the pure ability to fire the puck with speed.
"One year in the league, you learn a lot," Zetterlund told THN. "Something I really worked on is my shot."
Zetterlund scored six goals in 45 games for the New Jersey Devils before he was traded to San Jose. His struggles once he got to San Jose are well known. In his 22 games last season, Zetterlund only had three assists.
Despite the tough start to his Sharks career, Zetterlund is firmly entrenched in a top-6 forward role for head coach David Quinn.
The young Swede has played with Tomas Hertl for much of the season. He is now with Mikael Granlund and isn't showing signs of his play dropping.
One of the reasons why Zetterlund has been successful this season is his attention to detail. He told THN that he worked with Sharks goalie coach Thomas Speer.
"I talked to a lot with Speersy, the goalie coach here," Zetterlund said. "[We go over] pre-scouts on goalies, and the puck [starts to go in]."
Quinn has loved Zetterlund's game all season long. Quinn said that Zetterlund is going to the right coaches to increase his goal-scoring.
"Tom has done a great job of knowing the goalies, but he spends time with our forwards," Quinn explained. "Teaching them about the importance of a quick release and changing the angle and things of that nature that will allow you to score more goals."
Based on Quinn's answer, it doesn't sound like Zetterlund is the only forward consulting Speer.
Zetterlund will look to continue his strong play while playing on the top powerplay and the top-6 forward group.
