Kevin Labanc might be on his way out of the San Jose Sharks, but what could be the return if he gets traded?

The San Jose Sharks signed Kevin Labanc to a four-year $18,900,000 contract in 2020, and it hasn't worked out.
Labanc's best season was 2018-19, with 56 points (17 goals, 39 assists).
He bet on himself with a one-year $1 million contract for the 19-20 season. Labanc finished with 33 points (14 goals, 19 assists) but apparently did enough to earn his current four-year contract.
The 27-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent after this upcoming season and could be a candidate to be traded.
In July, rumors surfaced that the San Jose Sharks and the Vancouver Canucks could be partners for the former sixth-round pick.
"My understanding was that the deal on the table was Tyler Myers straight up for Kevin Labanc," Frank Seravalli told Canucks Central back on Jul. 3.
Myers' cap hit is $6 million, and just like Labanc, he will be a UFA at the end of the season.
As for the rebuilding Sharks?
"In return, the Sharks get a guy that they feel might be a really flippable asset at the Deadline," Seravalli said.
Labanc's value has diminished enough that GM Mike Grier is willing to eat a little extra salary to turn a different player into possible draft capital eventually.
With Erik Karlsson halfway out the door, the Sharks will need players to fill the blue line, and Myers is an easy fit to play and eventually trade.
Both players have been underwhelming recently, but Myers has maintained over 20 minutes of ice time a night, whereas Labanc has been demoted and sometimes scratched under head coach David Quinn.
Myers is due a $5 million bonus on Sept. 1, which could be why the deal has not come to fruition. With the addition of Filip Zadina and Anthony Duclair, Labanc's opportunities in the top six are next to none.
If Labanc isn't dealt and possibly re-signed, he must deal with first-round draft picks Quentin Musty and Will Smith.
If the San Jose Sharks are wise, they will deal Labanc before his trade value drops even further.
