The San Jose Sharks draft Quentin Musty with the No. 26 overall pick in the NHL Draft.

The San Jose Sharks have selected Quentin Musty with the No. 26 overall in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Musty, a left-winger, can play with an edge—a strong skating forward who can get into the corners and create offense.

Musty had 78 points (26 goals, 52 assists) for the Sudbury Wolves in the Ontario Hockey League.

The San Jose Sharks seem to be looking for the edge in his game. GM Mike Grier has continually said that they are looking for competitiveness.

Musty had 70 PIM in 21-22 and 71 PIM in 22-23. While PIMs are not a measuring tool for compete level or competitiveness, they can be used to see passion.

The San Jose Sharks utilized their late first-round pick to draft a dynamic play-creating forward.
