The San Jose Sharks see their two-game win streak end to the Colorado Avalanche 7-3 on Thursday.

Cale Makar set an Avalanche record for most points in a game by a defenseman with six (two goals, four assists) in the win. Nathan MacKinnon had two goals and three assists. Martin Necas had a goal and an assist, and Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.

Macklin Celebrini and Fabian Zetterlund scored for the Sharks. Alexandar Georgiev made 25 saves.

Jake Walman was scratched as the defenseman was reportedly traded to the Edmonton Oilers before the game, and Luke Kunin was a healthy scratch for trade-related reasons.

Will Smith assisted on Celebrini's goal to continue his offensive hot streak, and William Eklund had a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to four.

Kiviranta shoots over the blocker of Georgiev at 4:18 of the first period for a shorthanded goal and a 1-0 Avalanche lead.

Makar blasted a one-timer through Georgiev on the power play to make it 2-0 at 6:43.

Collin Graf found Zetterlund at the right side of the net with a perfect pass on the power play to cut it to 2-1 at 10:08.

Drouin finishes a terrific passing play from MacKinnon and Martin Necas to make it 3-1 on the power play with three seconds left in the period.

Necas makes it 4-1 with a power play goal one-timer just 39 seconds into the second period.

MacKinnon makes it 5-1 at 10:54 after the puck rebounded off the backboards for a tap-in.

MacKinnon tapped in the rebound for a 6-1 game with 6:38 left in the third.

Celebrini one-timed his 20th goal of the season.

Makar set an Avalanche defenseman record with his sixth point of the game.

Eklund scores to make it 7-3.
