We are just 57 days away from the San Jose Sharks kicking off their season against the Vegas Golden Knights at SAP Center. With each passing day, the countdown drops another number, and today we take a look at the Sharks’ history with players who wore #57.
Only two players in Sharks history have worn the number 57. The first was Tommy Wingels from 2010 to 2017, followed by Adam Raška in 2022-23. Let’s take an in-depth look at what each player accomplished during their time with the Sharks.
Starting with Wingels, he spent seven seasons with the club and appeared in 337 games. In that span, he scored 51 goals and 71 assists for 122 points. After his time with the Sharks ended, he went on to play for the Ottawa Senators, Chicago Blackhawks, and Boston Bruins, all within the same season (2017-18). Over his eight-year NHL career, he played in 448 games, recording 62 goals and 81 assists for 143 points.
Next is Raška, who played eight games over two seasons with the Sharks. During that time, he never recorded a point. His career in the NHL was short-lived after leaving San Jose, as he joined the Minnesota Wild and appeared in five games before his time in the league came to an end.
