There are just 69 more days until the San Jose Sharks host the Vegas Golden Knights at the SAP Center to kick off the 2025-26 season.

There has only been one player to wear the number 69 for the team in teal, center Andrew Desjardins.

Desjardins wore two numbers during his time with the Sharks, starting with 69 from 2010-2012 before switching to the number 10 from 2012-2015.

Desjardins played just under 100 games with the number 69, reaching a total of 93 games before making the swap.

During that time, Desjardins recorded a total of 20 points, five of which were goals.

Overall, he’d finish his time with the Sharks after playing in 272 games and posting 48 total points. He’d move on to the Chicago Blackhawks during the 2014-15 season, where he’d win the Stanley Cup at the end of the season.

Following the 2016-17 season, Desjardins would head overseas to play for Adler Mannheim in the German DEL, before making one final move and finishing his career with Villacher SV in Austria.

Desjardins would retire following the 2023-24 season and quickly took up coaching, taking a job as an assistant coach for the Sudbury Wolves during the 2024-25 season under head coach Scott Barney.
