8 Sharks Make Best Young Players List cover image

It is hard not to feel optimistic about the Sharks' future.

The Athletic's Corey Pronman recently ranked the top NHL players and prospects who are under 23 years old. Without much surprise, a good amount of the players listed were from the San Jose Sharks.

Sharks superstar forward Macklin Celebrini was given the No. 1 spot by Pronman, ranking ahead of Chicago Blackhawks center Connor Bedard. Celebrini was not the only player who made this list, as Will Smith (No. 9), Igor Chernysov (No. 19), Sam Dickinson (No. 21), Michael Misa (No. 25), Joshua Ravensbergen (No. 41), Filip Bystedt (No. 93), and Leo Sahlin Wallenius (No. 128) all made the cut.

Seeing so many Sharks be named among the top young players in the sport is not surprising in the slightest. It is no secret that their prospect pool is fantastic, and it is why many feel that the Sharks have an incredibly bright future ahead of them.

What's also encouraging about this specific list is that five Sharks made the top 25 of Pronman's rankings. With this, it is apparent that the Sharks have several players who should be very big parts of their future.
