San Jose Sharks prospect Cam Lund suffered an injury during the first period of Saturday night's Rookie Faceoff matchup when he was hit by Los Angeles Kings Jared Woolley. According to Nick Nollenberger on the broadcast, Lund will not return and is unavailable for the remainder of the night.
Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now also noted that it appears to be an upper-body injury based on how Lund acted following the hit:
Lund missed the end of the 2025-26 season with an upper-body injury that required surgery. In 37 games with the San Jose Barracuda last season, Lund scored nine goals and totaled 26 points during his AHL rookie campaign.
