The San Jose Sharks announced Monday morning that they have signed 2022 first-round pick Filip Bystedt to a three-year entry-level contract.
Bystedt recorded 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) in 45 games with Linkoping HC of the SHL during the 2022-23 season.
The Swede finished third in scoring among forwards age 20 and younger in the league. Bystedt was named the 22-23 SHL Rookie of the Year.
The six-foot-four, 198-pound native of Norrkoping, Sweden was the Sharks’ first draft pick under new GM Mike Grier.
