San Jose Sharks defenseman Ty Emberson scored his first career NHL goal against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Sharks controlled play in the offensive zone, and eventually, Tomas Hertl gave Emberson an easy pass to blast home for his first goal.
San Jose has been working on creating offense from low to high, then shooting the puck with traffic in front. That was perfectly executed.
Sharks head coach David Quinn has had Emberson paired with Mario Ferarro on defense and had this to say about the pair this morning.
"I think they've both done a good job. I think they defend hard," Quinn said. "I think Mario had a really good night last night. There was a calmness to his game. Emberson keeps getting better. He's doing a good job. He defends hard, and he's made some good decisions. He plays with conviction."
Congratulations to Emberson on his first career goal.
