Just moments into the San Jose Sharks' game against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night, things got scary.

Sharks forward Igor Chernyshov took a high hit by Mike Matheson, at the same time, Chernyshov was tripped by Matheson's stick which sent the 20-year-old winger toward the ice in a dangerous fashion.

According to Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky, Chernyshov was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Forward Macklin Celebrini then shared that Chernyshov rejoined the team before the end of the game:

Chernyshov was just recently recalled by the Sharks on Thursday and immediately slotted in on the Sharks' first line alongside Will Smith and Macklin Celebrini. At this time, it is reported that Chernyshov will travel with the team to Ottawa, however given the nature of his injury it's difficult to tell how soon he'll be back in the lineup.
